shipped twice over the ocean from UK to US to GER. so this is how it all ends up… shipping as the main cost factor. in my opinion there is only one way to keep vinyl affordable:
establish some kind of private distribution network with the independent record labels as hubs
establish some on-demand/preorder system for end users which allows centralized orders.
obviously this does not solve the other intrinsic problems: manufacturing cost and manufacturing quality.

by the way, those two records play inside out. unlike darkestral with its &#8220;reverse engineering&#8221;, scientific wax did not manage to lock the track. thus, the stylus just falls off the plate accompanied by really scary noise :-/
